Another response to a YES supporter who actually believe the YES campaigns lies

What he said (remember this topic was originally titled Prop 8 & Mormons):

Get off the Mormons already. 2% of CA are Mormon. 5% of the yes votes were Mormon. You guys can't blame prop 8 passing entirely on them. 70% of African Americans voted on it, too (I'd love to see the gay lobby try to take them on) I've heard that many black people are offended by gays trying to compare their movement to the civil rights movement in the 50's.
The majority of hispanics also voted yes (they must be homophobes as well) I was a volunteer for the Yes on 8 campaign so I have access to tons of real info.

The Yes on 8 coalition was a broad spectrum of religious
organizations. Catholics, Evangelicals,
Protestants, Orthodox Jews, Muslims, and Mormons – all supported Yes on 8. It is
estimated that there are 10 million Catholics and 10 million Protestants in
California. Mormons were a tiny fraction of the population
represented by Yes on 8 coalition members.

When will you guys realize you aren't going to strong-arm the majority of America? The ACLU pisses most Americans off. The courts have become corrupt with activist judges in SF and that is the only reason we are even talking about this. Prop 22 passed by 61%- again, the majority of the voters MUST be homophobes.

The "gay mafia" as I like to call them is out to attack religion anywhere they can. Their #2 target is the public school system. They succeeded in removing gender from public school recently and it went unreported by the press. A friend of mine has already pulled her daughter from 4th grade because the "boys" and "girls" signs were removed from the restrooms. A part of their genderless plan. I don't buy any of it. Kids do not need to be told that boys are allowed to wear dresses (if they FEEL like it) and kids do not need to be educated that Columbus was really gay.

As long as organized religion remains the majority in America, the gay bandits will not be forcing ceremonies in my church any time soon.

We aren't blaming Mormons, we are pointing out the fact that they went against their own doctrine. But, it is an irrefutable argument that they donated about 70% of ALL of Yes campaigns funding. That is a fact! Yes a lot of African Americans voted on it too but it was closer to 60%, not the 70% you quoted and a number of them received fraudulent mailers and phone calls saying that Obama was against Prop 8, which was not the fact, as he cam out saying it was "discriminatory" and "divisive". It is ashame that so many minorities came out to oppress an even smaller minority, as we would never have done the same to them. You were a volunteer for the Yes campaign...so you have access to a lot of LIES, not real info. And ALL those religions didn't support Yes, a big number didn't and most Jewish organizations were NO supporters...so, more lies you got there. Christians as a whole imposed their definition of religion on society, people are just pointing out the Mormons because of the significant impact that they played but they aren't all to blame, just all the Christians who voted Yes and their campaign with anti-Christian tactics and any other religion involved.

When are you going to realize that you aren't going to strong arm gay people? Equal rights really isn't a big deal and people who try to hinder it are shameful and go against what America was founded on. The ACLU is an amazing organizations, tons of organizations piss off people. Activist judges...laughable...spoken like a true Yes person who is anti-government and anti-equality. Prop 22 was illegal under the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution enforced by the Equal Protection Clause of the California Constitution, get over it already because Prop 8 will be found the same eventually. It is a dark time in history that bigots still exist and are attempting to oppress individuals.

We have freedom of religion and with that we have freedom FROM religion and their is no organized attacks on religion, that is just your paranoia speaking. And, their is no organized attack on public schools....wow, your IQ seems to drop as you type. You have some very off the wall and far fetched opinions and beliefs. How can you remove gender from a school system? Last time I checked, the school system isn't an animal or plant, an organism or a plant, so it has no gender. You aren't making any sense. Boys and girls signs removed from bathrooms? Never heard that one before, and I guess it is possible that that is happening, but I won't take your word for it because all you have been repeating are Yes on Prop 8 campaign lies. Gay bandits...wow, you really are homophobic...you like calling groups derogatory names...your excessive use of such leads me to believe that you are ashamed because you are actually gay yourself. Why would someone be so up and arms against gay people? They haven't done anything to you and I doubt they would even give you a second look because discrimination and your obvious bigotry are an extreme turn-off.
