Molly Ringwald Joins 'No To Prop 8' Campaign
16 Oct 2008
Molly Ringwald is the latest celebrity to come out against Proposition 8, the California state ballot initiative that seeks to overturn the state's legalisation of gay marriage.
Best known for her roles in 80s films like Pretty in Pink, Ringwald stars in one of a series of TV ads made to support the campaign by the US organisation Homotracker.
Molly plays one-half of a straight couple being harassed by someone who is against gay marriage.
The ads spoof the 'Mac and PC' ads that in the UK starred British comedians David Mitchell and Robert Webb.
Bisexual comedienne and performer Margaret Cho has also appeared in an ad for the group.
The Proposition 8 ballot goes to the vote on 4 November.
