OC Pulse poll: GOP voters like Prop. 8, Dem voters don’t

An OC Political Pulse poll backed up the view that Republicans are helping to drive anti-gay marriage Proposition 8 (72 percent support it in the poll of O.C. voters), while Democrats oppose it (89 percent). However, a larger chunk of Republicans are breaking with their party’s majority view, than Democrats.

A few other Pulse groups are almost the reverse image of one another. Latinos responding to the poll oppose Prop. 8 by 85 percent to 15 percent, while illegal immigration foes support it by the same ratio. All 16 “conservative Christians” responding support the measure, while all 25 “progressive Chrisitians” responding oppose it.
